Pine beetles - friend or foe? In fact, the only real threat from the beetle, is to company profits.

I think it's time we all stood our ground and make our Government do what's right.

Logging the Trans-Canada Trail
For those Albertans who donated money in memory of a loved one or as a gift, the prospect of damage and destruction to the (Trans Canada - ed.) Trail is not easily understood.

Please stop using pine beetles as the excuse for clear cutting.

I am convinced that at least part of the reason for the flood was the development, grazing and clear cutting in the Elbow watershed upstream.

The prospect of future logging in an area so critically important for recreation and water quality to a bourgeoning local city—Calgary—speaks to a profound failure in past planning. In particular, I wonder why Sustainable Resource Development (SRD) saw fit to include this area in a Forest Management Agreement (FMA).
